Sagittarius Full Moon, June 2015

SAGITTARIUS FULL MOON
Wednesday 3rd June 2015, 2:18am (AEDT)

This Sagittarius full moon is a period of light relief, as we head ever deeper into Mercury retrograde, reigniting and refocusing us on what it is we are actually aiming for.

Influenced by Mercury retrograde, over this moon we are getting a unique opportunity to take stock on where we are going and why. What is really important to us? Where do our priorities lie? Where are we leaking energy? Where do we need to give our energy? What is inspiring us? What is our intuition telling us?

We are also being influenced by Sagittarius’s ruler, Jupiter, the planet of aspiration, intellectual pursuits and a need to understand the world around us. It inspires us to think outside the box, look beyond our limited perspectives, and view the world through different eyes.

Over this moon you may find yourself inspired and ready for a new experience. You may well be feeling the need to travel, even if it is only for a few days. A change is as good as a rest, so if you have the time go on an adventure, see where life takes you, and explore something new. Follow your dreams and let your intuition guide you. Start a new course, skill or craft. Use the full moon to fuel your creativity and open your minds to greater possibilities. Sagittarius is symbolised by the Archer, and asks us; What target are you aiming for? The clearer the bulls eye, the easier it will be to hit it!

The Archer, Sagittarius is depicted as the Centaur, half human and half animal. This full moon is reminding us we must bridge the divide between our rational, scientific, logical, left brains with our connected, sensitive, creative and intuitive right brain. We may have evolved to become the ‘supreme’ species on our planet but this separation with the rest of all living things, and the Earth herself, is creating a crisis that is affecting us all. In order for us to restore balance on Earth we must remember we are a part of nature and not apart from it. Sagittarius full moon reminds us that we are also part animal, just another mammal that is sharing our home with so many others, and trust our instincts more.

Over this full moon Venus, will be helping us to bridge this separation. You may well be feeling like you need a hug and some substantial human contact, rather than the very two dimensional world of the internet. Love and passion are in the air and this is a ripe time to meet that special someone, or enjoy a peaceful, loving time with your beloved.

However, temper your expectations, as things may not be as they seem, so tread carefully, as you can also get burned this moon. If you take things slow and steady, and surrender to the natural flow, you will find things will naturally and effortlessly work out. Things may be challenging, but there is never a burden without a blessing. One of the blessings is the instant manifestations that are happening when our hearts and minds are in alignment. Use this Sagittarius full moon, Venus and Mercury retrograde to realign your passion with your creativity, be courageous and follow your intuition to manifest it into reality.

I will end this Moonscope with the wise words of Mark Twain:

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Full Moon Ritual

The ritual this full moon is to celebrate our connection with nature and the beginning of new adventures.

If it is a clear night go outside, look into the night sky and take a ‘moonbath.’ Feel the silver rays of the Sagittarius moon caressing your body, and seeping into your bones, nourishing you and flooding you with positive energy. Become aware of the expanse of sky above you and take yourself on a journey into the outer regions of space. Allow your mind to expand and travel into the huge vastness of the universe. Recognise the limitless, endless potential of space while feeling safe and secure with your feet planted firmly on Mother Earth.

Visualise your dream and see it manifesting in reality. Ask the moon for any advice that can help you on your path and in the silence open your heart and ears to the answer that will come from within.

You may be receiving subtle signs and messages to do something, call someone, or send an email. It is your higher-self prompting you to follow your dreams. The planets are here to help us realise our true potential and intentions, even when we consciously do not know what they are. Let go of specific outcomes, trust yourself as fully as you can, and your dreams will magically unfold into your reality.

Take the plunge and book yourself on a course, workshop or go to an event that sparks your interest, creativity and passion. Do something different where you will meet like-minded people and connect you to those you may not meet in your everyday life.

Mercury Retrograde

Three to four times a year, Mercury, the planet of communications and telecommunications, goes retrograde, meaning that it goes backwards n relation to the Earth’s orbit. Consider it a three week maintenance period to help us reflect, re-evaluate and re-examine the past three months to ensure we are on the right track with our projects and creative endeavours.

The downside of a Mercury retrograde is the disruption it causes to communications. You may find problems with electrical equipment, and any type of communications, disruptive travel plans, and meetings are cancelled or delayed. A general rule is not to sign or agree to any contracts during a Mercury retrograde, as things can look very different once Mercury goes forward again.

Life has been moving very fast recently, and this is a good time for us to stop and take a breath, see where we are, where we are headed and what provisions we need for the journey. Once it goes forward again there won’t be another opportunity for this type of reflection until mid September.

Use this slower time wisely, reconsidering and evaluating some of the choices made, and surrendering to anything that happens beyond your control, especially when things get delayed or postponed. You will be better prepared and ready to fly forward once Mercury goes direct on June 11th.
