Full Moon in Aries – September 2012

This full moon in aries builds on the energy that was generated under the Virgo new Moon in the middle of September. Over the last two weeks this energy has inspired us to get practical and motivated, enabling us to action things on our ‘to do’ list and push our projects and creative endeavours forward.
It has been a powerful time, as we respond to this upsurge of energy on the planet and opportunities, experiences and synchronicities increase. Adding to this energy is that of the spring equinox that celebrates the renewal of life.
On Sunday we will be blessed with the Aries full Moon. This will intensify the energy on the planet even more. Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, symbolised by the ram, is a fire sign and is ruled by Mars, the god of war. Therefore, it is the most hot-headed, impulsive, impatient, dynamic and assertive of the twelve signs.
It is well understood that our human form is seventy per cent liquid, with a subtle magnetic energy-body. Just as the Moon has a significant effect on the ocean tides, it also has a significant influence on the flow of our lives.
This full moon in aries ignites passions, as we feel unstoppable and more dynamic. Let go of trying to control life and you will be more able to see it as an adventure. Cultivate compassion and forgiveness during this time, as an Aries Moon loves a drama and you could find yourself wasting energy and time in a disagreement without real substance. Instead, channel this energy into positive action, using your intuition as a compass to make decisions and take practical steps that will empower you.
Our intuition is still strong and this will help us express ourselves. We can make clearer decisions and do things decisively, especially if you have been procrastinating for a while. However, be careful not to rush into anything, or become too obstinate, as we are prone to be more argumentative and impatient under an Aries moon, which can create more problems rather than solutions.
The Aries Moon brings with it a deeply righteous and caring quality that can activate an indignant attitude and we feel more resentful of injustices and wrong doings. Because of this, tempers rise quicker, we feel angrier about things and this can spark aggressive behaviour.
Uranus, now deep in retrograde and being illuminated by the Aries moon, will be stirring the rebel within us. We may see protests and revolts igniting around the world during this week, as people get shaken out of their comfort zones and feel that sudden burst of temper motivating them to do something about it.
At times, we can be locked in past failures and disappointments and feel paralysed and scared to take risks again. If you have been facing your fears for the past few months, this Aries Moon may illuminate what you fear most.
Don’t let the past keep you down. Choose to resonate with Aries’ feisty, adventurous, gutsy drive, and utilise all that courage you have been working on over the last few months to ‘ram’ through any fear that is still coming up and just DO it.
