New Moon in Leo – August 2012

New Moon In Leo
NEW MOON IN LEO – Saturday 18th August 1:54am

The previous few Moons have triggered powerful, intense, expansive processes forcing us to face our shadow sides, recognise which choices took us down certain paths and get clearer on who we are and where we are going.

This has all been preparation for what is to come. Our present system is no longer working and the moon and planets are here to help us raise our consciousness to a new understanding of oneness by seeing that one is all.

This Leo new Moon will bring to the surface our inner blockages that are stopping us from realising this potential. So many of us are hiding behind our fear of who we truly are, as Marianne Williamson so eloquently puts it:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

The Leo New Moon tells us:

This can be both a pleasurable and painful moon, as we see both our potential and what is holding us back from reaching it. The dark side of the Moon illuminates the parts of ourselves we are in denial of so that we can understand ourselves better, making more conscious and clear choices.

Leo energy is about the essence of YOU. It is the sign that says “Hello World, I’m Here!” It clarifies our purpose and reason for living and strengthens our deepest intentions on how we live our lives. Under this fiery moon it is time to stop hiding in the shadows, afraid of who you are, and get out into the world with your unique gifts and skills. This is the ONLY way you can help make this world a better place. Creative energy is now in full throttle. It’s time to take action, breakthrough, and just do it!!!

The Leo Moon is represented by the Lion, and the symbol of ‘Strength/Courage’ in the traditional tarot pack. It brings an energy down to earth that makes us feel more confident and connected so that we can share ourselves more freely with others. Just as an urban flower must crack through concrete so that it can bloom its fragrance to the world, we too must break through whatever barriers and blocks we are using to hold us back.

With Mercury now going forward this is a good moon to launch a new project or creative endeavour. Don’t be shy, and get motivated. Share any inspirational ideas that come to you. Let people know who you are! Be proud and strong, like the lion. Feel good about yourself, who you are and what you have achieved. If you have been feeling invisible, or unrecognised, use the energy of Leo new moon to change the situation. Reignite your passion and ambition now by being unafraid of who you are and stand tall and proud.

Also firing up this New Moon is the Uranus retrograde that started in July. From July to December, Uranus will be sparking the inner rebel and revolutionary spirit shaking us out of our lethargy. Be aware, however, of the negative aspects of this moon. You may find there is a heightened sense of drama, as control issues rise to the surface. Arguments can flair up and and we feel the tension between the need for personal gain versus the need to serve the collective good.

This conflict can be resolved by recognising that our highest joy will only manifest through creative expression, living our passion, while serving others and the highest good of all. Real compassionate leadership starts from WITHIN. Use joyful service to rebuild your self esteem and raise your vibration.

I will end this with the wise words of Mother Theresa:

“Life is….
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.” ~ Mother Theresa
