Full Moon in Libra – March 2013

FULL MOON IN LIBRA – Wednesday 27th March, 3:39pm (AEST)

“I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment, and life’s greatest rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve. This level of resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this may sound, it is still the common denominator separating those who live their dreams from those who live in regret.” ~ Anthony Robbins

The Full Moon in Libra ushers in the need for balancing the masculine and feminine energies, so we can harmonise our relationships with ourselves and others.

It is always the first full moon after the Autumn Equinox and this year it is coming early to remind us to enjoy the transition to winter and not over-exert ourselves or try to force things to happen. There is potential for burnout if we don’t relinquish control and go with the flow.

The Piscean new moon revealed our hidden yearning to support and nurture ourselves, others and Mother Earth. This Libra full moon illuminates our place in the world, and how we impact on others. This is the time to be aware of the needs of those around us, while following the urge to move forward and follow our own path.

Ruled by Venus and Uranus, this moon brings the focus onto relationships, both with ourselves and others and asks us to find the emotional balance in whatever situation we find ourselves in.

Don’t allow the aggressive, masculine energy of Aries, with Pluto and Mars thrown into the mix, to dominate your behaviour, try and change others, or project onto them what you want them to be. The clearer you are about who you are the easier it will be for others to see you.

Likewise, don’t allow others to manipulate you or make you do something that does not serve you. By accepting others for who they are we can find the same acceptance for ourselves. Do what feels right for you, as this will surely be right for everyone concerned.

This is also a good time to make peace with ourselves. Silence your negative critic and find forgiveness and compassion for any wrongdoings you feel you have done. Stop blaming others, and take responsibility for your own actions so that you can go forward with a clear conscience.
You may also see relationships coming to an end. People are in our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When someone is in our life for a reason, it’s usually to meet a deep need. Some people come into our lives for a season, to share, grow and learn. People that remain with us for a lifetime are there to help us develop a solid emotional foundation. When we can accept a relationship has reached its natural end, it is easier to let it go and move into the future.

Over the last weeks you may have felt an urge to revisit incidents from the past. Once we understand why we had to experience these processes we will be able to make a conscious decision to do things differently and alter our future. When we cling to the past we just create more of the same.

Rather than fall into the same old patterns use the Libra moon to find harmony within yourself. When we feel harmonious within we start responding to others with more love and compassion.

This Libra full moon will help us to clear out the old so that we can embrace the new. Let go of any relationship or thing that is no longer serving you so that when the new Zodiac cycle begins you are prepared and ready to move forward effortlessly.

I will end this with the wise words of Anne Morrow Lindbergh:

“The only real security is not in owning or possessing, not in demanding or expecting, not in hoping, even. Security in a relationship lies neither in looking back to what it was, nor forward to what it might be, but living in the present and accepting it as it is now.”

With Gratitude, Blessings and Love to my moon sista Rebekah Shaman for this post.
