Full Moon in Sagittarius &
Luna Eclipse – May 2013

Saturday 25th May, 2:24pm
The moon is waxing to full in Sagittarius and bringing with it our third eclipse of the year. This eclipse is building on the energy of the other two previous ones and increasing the already volatile energy on the Planet. There is a lot going on, and no one is immune to the impact.
Since the last Scorpio full moon you may have experienced a weird gamut of sensations, from extreme exhaustion, not only physically but mentally as well, to feeling restless, frustrated, unable to sleep, prophetic dreams, aching bodies, spurts of intense energy, prone to sudden floods of tears, feeling helpless and disconnected, and then moments of deep love, bliss and gratitude.
The easiest way to surf these energetic waves is to surrender to them and use your time aligned to how you are feeling. So if you are feeling exhausted, sleep, and use the bursts of energy to be creative and get things done. Enjoy the blissful moments and let the tears come, as this is a very powerful cleansing and balancing bodily function, without getting too attached to the story!
Full lunar eclipses are powerful omens that reveal the hidden depths, and what with Pluto, the planet of darkness and transformation squaring Uranus, the planet of unforeseen surprises and changes, and the eclipse squaring Neptune in Pisces, creating illusions, delusions and misunderstandings thrown into the mix, we are all going to get a big kick with this coming moon.
An eclipsed Full Moon in Sagittarius reveals where our passion and joy really lies so if you have been doing something that you don’t like, in a relationship that is not serving you, or in denial about something, this moon is going to give you the kick you need to take action.
The previous two eclipses have shaken many of us out of the status quo, ripping the veils of illusion and showing us reality as it is, and not as we would like it to be. By shaking us up we can confront our fear, be more receptive to embracing change and start to live our dreams.
Sagittarius is the sign that focuses us on our target so we can aim our energies accurately. During this eclipsed full moon in Sagittarius, we may finally be able to connect the dots and see the bigger picture, especially if we have been working towards a certain goal or project. Ruled by Jupiter, the planet of expansion and good fortune, the eclipse can also double our opportunity bringing us the lucky breaks we’ve been hoping for.
The Sagittarius full moon encourages us to tap into the fire energy; creativity, abundance, adventure, cheerfulness compassion, open-mindedness and opportunity. However, it may also bring out the shadow parts of ourselves, especially if you are feeling reckless, self-righteous and indulgent. These alignments are creating a volatile mix of energies, and because this moon is in the sun sign of Gemini, we may be prone to miscommunication and unrealistic expectations sparking off disputes that could get messy.
My advice is to stay off the streets over the weekend, follow your intuition, which is particularly strong right now and surround yourself with friends. Go out and dance and do something that makes you feel good and loved up. The more loved up we feel the more it will be reflected back to us.
Sagittarius is symbolized as the Centaur, a combination of animal and human. For many this is interpreted as a desire to free ourselves from our ‘animal nature.’ I see it differently. I believe the Centaur represents the integration of our animal and human natures – we are just another species of animal walking this planet, a part of nature. Animals operate on instinct alone and the Centaur reminds us to be aware of and act on our instinctive/intuitive nature.
The body of the horse represents power, reflecting the power we possess to manifest our dreams in the physical realm. This third eclipse is asking us to shoot our arrows as high as we dare knowing that at this moment in time, anything and everything is possible. Where it lands just depends on where you are paying attention and whether you fully believe you can hit the bullseye!
I will end this with the wise words of W. Clement Stone
“Always aim for the Moon, even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”

“To transform the world, we must begin with ourselves; and what is important in beginning with ourselves is the intention. The intention must be to understand ourselves and not to leave it to others to transform themselves or to bring about a modified change through revolution, either of the left or of the right. It is important to understand that this is our responsibility, yours and mine…” – Jiddu Krishnamurti
“Life is a song – sing it.
Life is a game – play it.
Life is a challenge – meet it.
Life is a dream – realize it.
Life is a sacrifice – offer it.
Life is love – enjoy it.” – Satya Sai Baba
