Capricorn Full Moon, July 2015
CAPRICORN FULL MOON
Thursday 2nd July 2015, 12:19pm (AEST)
Stay Determined!
Dear Moonscopers,
The sky has been dancing with Jupiter and Venus, focusing our attention on love/relationships and what it means to us, surrendering, and accepting reality as it is. They finally came together in a crescendo on 30th June and this is blasting us into a powerful July.
This month we are blessed with a Blue Moon…this rare occurrence happens when we have two full moons in one month. The last one was in 2012 and the next one will be 2018, so make full use of this one.
It is known as a blue moon because every moon has a specific name regarding the month it falls in. When we have a second moon it doesn’t have a name so we call it the blue moon.
The first full moon of the month is in the earthy sign Capricorn, and the second moon is in the airy sign of Aquarius, the moon of new ideologies, thinking outside the box and seeing the world from new perspectives.
The focus this month, therefore, is how can you best root your ideas and visions into the physical plane so that they start becoming your reality. What practical action needs to be taken now for you to have an abundant spring later in the year? Let the answers bubble up from your inner wisdom and find some time in nature and silence in order to be able to hear them.
Wishing you all an illuminating and enlightening full moon ride…
We have two full moons this month, illuminating the darkness so we can face the light. This auspicious moon month will help us to face what is hidden so that we can accept the reality of a situation, both personally and in the wider world, in order to find the solutions.
This earthy Capricorn full moon dissolves the veil of ignorance with its down-to-earth and pragmatic energy. It can help us accept reality without the emotional pain and anxiety, and with our emotions under control we can take practical action and make changes.
This moon also helps us to be more structured and organised. This is a good moon to get your paperwork/filing/accounts in order, pay invoices and prepare now for the spring in September.
Over this moon we like to feel we are achieving something and moving forward, so keep your awareness open to all the success that comes your way this month. Very often we only count ‘successful’ with big, meaningful experiences, but successes come in all shapes and sizes. When we miss the daily successes we are missing the magic in the ‘ordinariness.’
The best way of recognising all the synchronicities and magical moments that happen every day is to write a gratitude diary. At the end of the day, recording all you have to be grateful for in a diary. This not only reminds us of all the wonderful things that are happening around us all the time, it also opens the channels of energy for more of it to come to you.
Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, the planet relating to limitations and restrictions. Saturn is often given a bad rap but actually this planet gives us an opportunity to go beyond our fears, redefine our boundaries and set clear goals. It helps us to structure and define what needs to be done on the physical level to enable us to create our visions.
The downside of this moon is being too hard on ourselves, feeling negative, and ‘beating’ ourselves up for things that happen, even when they are beyond our control. Rather than get depressed about the state of the world, your life, or the life of others, take action and become part of the solution.
Sitting around moaning about how awful everything is, keeps us depressed and in the victim mentality. We are super blessed here in the West and the more we can recognise all the amazing opportunities and freedoms we have here, we realise how powerful we really are.
Symbolised by the mountain goat, Capricorn full moon helps us to stay focused on our destination, while reminding us to enjoy the journey. We have been learning how to surrender to the flow, and this moon enables us to find our footing and start having fun.
It reminds us to re-examine our commitment to our visions and helps us find the discipline and self-control that may have weakened over the last few months by strengthening our tenacity. It also gives us the courage to take risks that we may not normally have the guts to do. And remember to be open to the magic this month.
I will end this Moonscope with the wise words Goethe:
“Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has Genius, Power and Magic in it.”
Full Moon Ritual
The ritual this FULL moon is to recognise how far we have come and to celebrate our journey thus far…
If you can, go and party. Dance, celebrate, laugh and cry with good friends and family. Go out and talk to the moon. Take a moon bath in her silvery light and thank her for her energy and support. Ask the moon what practical action and next steps can you take in your life, in order to move forward effortlessly and harmoniously.
Feel the gratitude for everything that is in your life, however good or bad it may seem. Let that feeling of gratitude fill every part of your body. Write a gratitude diary every evening recording all the things you are grateful for on a daily basis. Feel that gratitude flowing around your body so that you create and manifest more of it.
If you are finding it hard to see the gratitude, release any pent up stress or negative feeling by having a good scream, cry, dance, hitting a pillow. Let it all out so that the loving, connected energy can really flow.
Choose an area in your life that is limiting you and holding you back, whether it’s an addiction, negative behaviour or conditioned pattern. Really make a disciplined and structured effort to go through the fear and release its hold over your life.
Use the moon’s courageous, tenacious energy to be strong, patient and accepting. It may take some time to begin seeing the changes, but things are happening on many levels and dimensions, before we actually see the results being manifest on the physical plane.
The key is to hold the outcome in your mind, remain disciplined and committed to the goal and let life do the rest!
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow –
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
Whe he might have captured the victor’s cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out –
The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It might be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit –
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.
