SCORPIO FULL MOON & WESAK
Monday 4th May 2015, 1:42pm (AEDT)

RELATED YOGI TIP: Smiling Buddha Kriya

The Scorpio full moon is upon us, and it’s about as powerful and passionate as it gets! Otherwise known as the Flower, or the Wesak moon; the moon under which Buddha was born, became enlightened, and died. It is a powerful, powerful moon and ignites the deepest passions and desires that are hidden deep within us, awakening us to be more ourselves. More on the Moonscope in a minute, let’s first explore the opportunities Wesak holds.

About WESAK

The Master Djwhal Khul, shares that Wesak is; “the greatest event upon our planet… and the one which has the greatest effect upon the human race.”

Wesak is considered the spiritual New Year, the time when Buddha returns to the earth to offer all spiritual aspirants special blessings of light, which can give us more than enough light for the next year of life.
The Buddha was born, attained enlightenment, and left Earthly incarnation on this full moon. And many mystics across the world say that the Buddha returns at this time each year to help regenerate the Earth and bring new light to the world. Spiritual initiates gather in Wesak Valley, a mythic place high in the Himalayas to receive the blessing. This cosmic alignment occurs during the eight minutes centered on the moment of the Wesak full moon. However, the celestial dispensations continue for three days following the day of the Full Moon. Calm and balance, deep breathing, meditation, yoga, rhythmic music and dancing all help for receiving the blessings of heaven. So this Full Moon is like a pitcher pouring out a healing elixir and we need to be sure we open ourselves as vessels to receive!

I would love to invite you all to join me in a deep Kundalini Yoga Kriya & Meditation journey this morning at Red Tent 9.30 -11.30am to prepare ourselves for this great alignment and celebrate the Spiritual New Year!!

Scorpio Full Moon

Scorpio represents the feminine watery principle, with Mars as its ruler so the whole spectrum of emotion is open to us now; passion, joy, jealousy, betrayal, love and desire. The warrior energy of Mars supports us with courage and strength in going to the emotional and spiritual depths available to us during this moon. It helps us to stand up for ourselves and be in our power.

Over this moon, synchronicities and connections become more magical, as this watery moon flows people together. Many of us are being prompted by some greater force to forge a new way. Our intuition is at its strongest now, so it may be time to heed our passion and follow our desires.

The key is to clearly send out your intention to god/universe/life, focused on what it is you actually want, not what you don’t want. Allow every part of you, every cell, to believe without doubt that you deserve it. See your intention being fulfilled, regardless of all the obstacles your mind will put in your way. Life is infinitely magical and there are more possibilities than our limited minds could ever think up.

This Scorpio full moon is the most passionate, intimate and intense moon of the year so if you are ready for love open your heart over this period and invite love in. Push yourself beyond your comfort zone and be more intimate. Allow yourself to be vulnerable, honest and truthful about your emotional needs and wants, so you can receive your desires.

We must take heed of Kalil Gibran’s words over this moon to ensure we utilise this moon’s energy positively. Without reason, passion becomes unyielding, unruly and destructive, and Mars is also the planet of war, igniting deep emotional process that can unleash a torrent of negative emotion.

This moon, can therefore, also illuminate the sorrow of loss and pain of loneliness, so make sure you are with good friends if you are in a low place or feeling depressed. You may also find yourself becoming obsessive about an issue/person/situation.

If you do find yourself ruminating about things in the past, go and walk barefoot in nature, releasing the energy out through the soles of your feet as black sludge, hug a tree, find some water and meditate. Release the thoughts and feelings to the water spirits, asking them to dissolve the emotional charge you are holding on to. Then try our special Yogi Tip – Smiling Buddha Kriya.

Stop playing the blame game and be honest and practical by taking personal responsibility for your part in the situation and your behaviour, and find acceptance and forgiveness so that you can start creating a brighter future.
Use this Scorpio full moon and the new energy of the sun, now in Taurus, to find the self-esteem, patience and determination to resolve issues and find more intimacy, peace and harmony.

Scorpio Full Moon Ritual

The ritual this full moon is to permit secrets to come to the surface. Use this moon to be intimate, especially if you fear intimacy. Show your vulnerable side and ask for what you want. Don`t hide from your truth but embrace it in order to face change. This is a good opportunity to stand in your power and express your views without fear or recrimination, especially if you have been holding back from sharing what is in your heart.

Get together with a group of friends and hold a speaking circle. This is a very powerful ritual, as it enables everyone in the circle to speak their truth in a loving, supportive atmosphere and environment.

The speaker holds an object (stick, crystal, etc) while they talk and when they have finished it is passed on to another. While a person is holding the object the space is theirs. It is important not to interrupt or disturb the speaker. Each person has as long as they need to really express their feelings and thoughts. It is incredibly empowering to have permission to speak openly and candidly to others. The more respectful and attentive the circle is the more powerful the ritual. Under this full moon the energy is really especially ripe for us to speak our truth with conviction and honesty.

Use the Scorpio energy to feel sexy and fire up your passion both for life and love. Every day for the next two weeks get naked, look deeply into a full length mirror and tell yourself that you are sexy and gorgeous. However, difficult you may find this, go beyond your discomfort and really acknowledge and love your body for two weeks. I always massage shea butter every morning in front of the mirror and thank each part of my body. It’s also very grounding and brings me back into my body. Or try this with Cacao Butter instead, for an even more sumptuous experience 😉
Use the courage and strength from the full Moon by following your intuition this month and jumping into the unknown. The more we follow our happiness, our joy, and our passion, the more life flows easily and much more harmoniously.

Quote by Kalil Gibran

“And the priestess spoke again and said: “Speak to us of Reason and Passion.”
And he answered saying:
Your soul is oftentimes a battlefield, upon which your reason and your judgment wage war against passion and your appetite.
Would that I could be the peacemaker in your soul, that I might turn the discord and the rivalry of your elements into oneness and melody.
But how shall I, unless you yourselves be also the peacemakers, nay, the lovers of all your elements?
Your reason and your passion are the rudder and the sails of your seafaring soul.
If either your sails or your rudder be broken, you can but toss and drift, or else be held at a standstill in mid-seas.
For reason, ruling alone, is a force confining;
And passion, unattended, is a flame that burns to its own destruction.
Therefore let your soul exalt your reason to the height of passion; that it may sing;
And let it direct your passion with reason, that your passion may live through its own daily resurrection, and like the phoenix rise above its own ashes.
I would have you consider your judgment and your appetite even as you would two loved guests in your house.
Surely you would not honour one guest above the other; for he who is more mindful of one loses the love and the faith of both.
Among the hills, when you sit in the cool shade of the white poplars, sharing the peace and serenity of distant fields and meadows – then let your heart say in silence, “God rests in reason.”
And when the storm comes, and the mighty wind shakes the forest, and thunder and lightning proclaim the majesty of the sky, – then let your heart say in awe, “God moves in passion.”
And since you are a breath in God’s sphere, and a leaf in God’s forest, you too should rest in reason and move in passion.”
– Kalil Gibran, The Prophet
